I'm sorry about that. The bottom box just confused matters.
Here's a simpler image (also pulled from Google images) that demonstrates the premise of the "dual scale timeline view" as I've decided to call it.
I'm not sure if there's software patent on something like this, but Ableton Live has a pretty amazing navigation system that's similar to the TVPaint (or Photoshop) navigation panel--a thumbnail with a draggable zoom-region box--but it's as wide as the timeline itself and squished to show as many tr...
Yeah, watch the credits
Erick was my classmate at UCLA, and we worked together on a few things.
If I recall correctly,I introduced him to TVPaint.
Best (and fastest) animator I've ever worked with, by far. Ego-crushingly talented.
Hello AndyThe94, I think David Nethery perfectly explained the process of what an in-betweener does, but I should note that Erick's film didn't really have in-betweeners, but rather "Clean Up Artists." He did almost all of the timing, and our job was just to do clean ink drawings and paint...
Another reason that I like to keep the keyboard shortcuts "mono" (one for one direction, and another for the other direction), is so that I can use them with an autohotkey script I extended from TigerKnight's roll.ahk that I found here. It takes over the top row of letters (and 'swallows' ...
As I said before, it already exists in the panel I linked to above - Sewie's modification of the pre-official image marks panel (the top two arrows). I use it because I like to have one pair of shortcuts for all image mark flipping purposes. That way, if I want to flip my red marks, i just put the p...
Elodie, there are shortcuts in the "Configure Keyboard Shortcuts" window under ImageMarks for Next/Prev color 01 through 12, and also just plain Next/Previous, which moves the playhead to the next/prev image mark of *any* color...but what's the command called for the "next/prev curren...
I think you can do this by installing the custom panel referenced here: http://www.tvpaint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=36296#p36324" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I still use it because it has the command to "next/prev of current color image mark" so if you're on a ...
For what it's worth, I have a 27" 2010 iMac that I upgraded to SSD and did a full El Capitan install on (not an OS upgrade).
I am experiencing the 64-bit brush lag in 11.0.3 (and earlier versions). 32-bit works much better.
Another thing that this type of enhanced view management would bring is the ability to do a true "visible canvas" mirroring function, where horizontally flipping the view involves panning the canvas to offset. If there's already a way to do this, I'd love to know...
I think the request is to have one fullscreen monitor as part of a multimonitor desktop, with no TVPaint at all on the other monitor(s). If this is the request, I'd add +1... the UI I'd imagine would be to click the little maximize thing to cycle through the three states: 1)not maximized 2)single di...
When you have a long clip (so that the instance 'tail' square is hidden) and you want to edit exposure timing, I think the best method is use keyboard shortcuts. If you have a numeric keypad, here's an easy-to-remember set of shortcut keys that you could assign: + : assigned to Exposure: Add Single ...
In my opinion, this is a situation that could be improved simply by adjusting the word choices. Instead of "large" and "vertical" timelines, they should be called " Wide " and " Tall ." The word "large" implies a general increase of scale, which isn'...
