Have you tried to "map network drive" from the Windows Explorer [assuming that you use Windows]
TVPaint needs to have a "Drive" name like "Z:" in windows in order to use a correct path.

a)memory issue
(i don't have it on the 64bit version that apparently recognizes more RAM)

b)gpu issue
