Thank you for the help and info.
Will have to stick to deskbound for TVP,and photos, drawing books and graphic stuff for location. Good excuse to get out of the house more often !

Re: Cintiq Companion
Thank you for your reply and help,I checked the link and drivers seem to be available. In a conversation with the person selling the Companion, found that she had to use it like an Intuous, connected to her computer, so she could see what she was drawing on the screen, but not on the tablet. I was h...

Cintiq Companion
I have been offered a Cintiq companion at a low price but, before parting with the cash, wondered if any one here had experience of using it and, most importantly, can I use it with TVP?

Re: Loading problem
Just had a recurrence of this problem. Working on scene yesterday, duly saved and Imac shut down properly. Tried to open again today. No joy. It just hung and had to force quit again. Tried it on the other machine ( a mac mini ). It opened and played. 'Saved as' onto Flash drive, returned to Imac in ...

I don't run anti virus software on the Macs but do have "Clean my Mac"running going. Don't know if that might be a problem?
It hasn't happened for a while, and have been busy with other things, but will watch out more carefully should it happen again.

Re: Is it possible to recover a corrupted file?
Dean. Apologies, I didn't see your question from June until now ( busy with other things ). Been wrestling with other problems so memory may not be 100% but, I think what happened was, TVP froze on my Imac and refused to load a project worked on that machine. Then loaded that project file onto a mem...

Re: macOS Monterey / Ventura / Sonoma and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 17/06/2022]
Pardon my question. I am having lots of troubles with my Imac ( 7 years old ), unrelated to TVP, and was thinking of replacing it with either a new studio Pro or maxed out Mini model. As my next project will be almost exclusively done in TVP do I understand correctly that the current OSX ( sonoma?) ...

Re: Switching between software freezes TVPaint
This is not a problem I've faced so far working with TVP, but did experience a similar problem when using Animation Master ( AM ) on a Mac. It would just freeze and no mouse clicks or stylus use would work. The workaround - the cause was never found - was to press command and H to hide the program, ...

Re: Adding blank frames before what is currently frame 1?
No expert here but, I think the way you'd do that is to select all the clips frames in the timeline by dragging around them with your mouse. Then dragging them to the right by the required amount. Place the time line indicator at frame zero, then add the frames by holding shift and K to get a single...

Re: Approach for lineless Animation
Thank you Peter. I shall try that out with current scene.
I'm still on a steep learning curve with all the options, and likely to remain so for some while.

Re: Approach for lineless Animation
|Peter.
Pardon my delayed response.
No I was unaware of that.
What does the process involve?
I'm presently using the stencil option to clean up and refine the drawings.
Learning by trial and error ( mainly error) if truth be told.

Colour Pallet
I am still at the beginner stages of learning how to use TVP really, and was wondering about colour pallets. The way I have done it so far is to make a written note on a sheet of paper and refer to that when needing to change colour within a scene. From reading the posts of others on different subje...

Re: Approach for lineless Animation
Pardon me, certainly no expert here, and may have misunderstood your question? If so, my mistake. Might a work around be, If you have drawn the lines on one layer,, then make a copy of that layer ( call it Lines copy), Use the original to fill the colour areas as required, Switch to the lines copy l...

Re: Is it possible to recover a corrupted file?
I've encountered this problem a couple of times in the past few months and the way I found around it was to install TVP on another machine, copy the file onto a flash drive, take the dongle to the other machine, open the file on that machine and 'save as' under a new name onto the flash drive. Take ...
