On windows I experience also sometimes panels missing. When I minimize to desktop (windows key + D) and tab back to tvpaint again those panels reappear again. Seamed they gort sorted wrongly or something. Maybe this will help?

Interesting indeed. In Adobe PSD it is the same thing, hard to put to good use. Temp controls could help setting thicknesses

I need to study the new functions of TVP12 but I can't access the help.

It would be awesome if the spacemouse would be suported for panning/zooming/rotating.

A very valid question. I must say that I do not have a 100% case which crashes all the time. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I will hunt down a scenario in which i am sure it crashes all the time, at least on my pc. Keep you posted when I find one

I would be fine with with the tool at hand just giving you a "can't do" cursor-icon when used on an inappropriate layer, instead of popping up messages
