Re: Error messages when starting TVPA
Hi ZigOtto and Fabrice, I thank you very much for your quick reponses, especially for ZigOtto's advice and the link. It seems to be very helpful but I'm afraid to have a lot of work before me. I will try it in the coming days, when I have some leisure time for it. My Windows-7 should be up-to-date a...

Error messages when starting TVPA
Hi, While trying to start TVPaint 10.5.5 Pro (32 bit) on my Windows 7 PC I get the following error message: "TVPaint 10 Pro (10.5.5 - 32 bits) The program cannot be started because MSVCR80.dll is missing on the computer. Reinstall the program to fix the problem." However, this MSVCR80.dll ...

Re: A way to change animation layer to image layer
If your anim layer has only one instance without extension, you only have to create a new image layer. Then put this layer below the anim layer. By merging them you get an image layer with the contents of your anim layer.

Re: Any Word on CB Paint 2 for Bogart SE
Export in H.264 should work if you uncheck the option "keyframe every n frames". This is a codec-specific issue with several animation programs. Bingo! Hi Slowtiger! Yours was the right tip. Thank you very much! Alan had already mentioned it, but I didn't understand it. However, the resul...

Re: Any Word on CB Paint 2 for Bogart SE
@ Paul I am not using the full version of Vegas, only Vegas Movie Studio HD v.10.0 and I know that there is a newer version 11.x. But I don't use it very much as I do my video editing with Casablanca. I only need it now and then, when I have to improve the video quality of a file with the Main Conce...

Re: Any Word on CB Paint 2 for Bogart SE
Hi Alan, your posting from Fri Dec 16 was very interesting to me. The file transfer from Bogart through the OPT button ("export current scene") to TVPaint is really an easy way and works very well with TVPaint 10 too. From now on I'll use this method. I also tried Quicktime Pro for the tra...

Re: Any Word on CB Paint 2 for Bogart SE
Hi Alan, I think, the Quicktime format (.mov) is not usable for the Cassi, at least I had no success with it. Relating to ffdshow I hardly remember which settings I had choosen. But as it is a collection of different codecs, I believe you can activate different codecs for the different formats at th...

Re: Any Word on CB Paint 2 for Bogart SE
Hi Alan and Hans, I'm using TVPaint 9 together with Bogart since about 1 year and have no problems. My HDV 1440i files are transfered from Bogart "scene bin" to the MediaManager via "scene export" without conversion. The export from the MediaManager goes as PC AVI Direct Format e...

Flip the images of an Animation layer
I am new in this forum and beginner in tvpaint. So I have still a lot to learn. I am trying the features of tvpaint 9.5.16 by means of the tvp manual. But now and then the manual is not helpful enough. So in the case of the Flip option of the layer menu, as discribed in lesson 4-11, which changes th...
