Re: Storyboarding workflow improvements
I have to respectfully disagree with this view, I feel TVPaint is light years beyond Storyboard Pro.I have been working with Storyboard Pro for the last year and half, it is the bane of my existence! Everybody works differently, so for me Storyboard Pro relies too much on copying and pasting. Making...

Re: Performance Lag MacOS TVP12
I think TVPaint 12 requires more processing power. I eventually updated my computer, it was time, not just for TVPaint issues. But TVPaint 12 now runs perfectly on my new system. I have no more line issues and everything works well. I have a Mac Mini and I’m using the same intuos tablet as I had on ...

License Issue awaking from sleep TVP12 MacM4
Hello all, I purchased a new computer Mac mini M4 and I am running TVPaint 12. Everything works really well, it seems stable, I can render movies but noticed an issue worth reporting. If my computer goes to sleep while running TVPaint, when I wake the computer to go back to work there is a license i...

Hello,
I think you are just looking for the delete instance head in the keyboard shortcuts.

Re: Performance Lag MacOS TVP12
I have updated TVPaint to 12.0.1 unfortunately the drawing lag is still an issue for me. Version 12 is unusable. Is there any progress on a fix for this issue?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Performance Lag MacOS TVP12
So an update, I installed TVPaint 12 on a Windows 11 machine where I work. I also use an intuos tablet there. There are no issues with the lag. So it is the combination of macOS and intuos tablet on my home computer that must be causing the issue. Hope that helps troubleshoot. I’d love to get this w...

Re: Performance Lag MacOS TVP12
Hi Thierry,
I tried the Boost Line Smoothness option but it only made the lag on the brush even more pronounced. Here is a video with line boost turned on.

Re: Performance Lag MacOS TVP12
Thanks for looking into this Thierry. What a strange bug. I am away on holidays for the next week but I will try that setting when I get back and let you know if it makes a difference.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Performance Lag MacOS TVP12
Hello, I have upgraded to TVPaint 12 and I am experiencing a lot of lag in performance vs TVPaint11. Brushes are slow to respond when drawing quickly, especially while drawing curves. The result will be jagged lines making sketching quite difficult. I also notice zooming and canvas rotation to be ve...

Right Click on CTG layer to Exclude Areas for Paint
It would be really streamline painting on a CTG layer to have right click temporarily invoke the exclusion option. This way you wouldn't have to check and uncheck a box while you are painting, just a simple right click and make and exclusion squiggle, let go of the right click and you are back painti...

Re: Repeatable Pattern Maker
Ha! Thanks Peter for those screenshots. I was aware of how to make a tile-able pattern but I had overlooked the fill checkbox in the Keyframer! I had always used the multilane camera for tiling because there was a pull down menu that was obviously for tiling but there was no way to control the angle...

JSON to AFX Camera Issue
I am exporting my TVPaint files into to AFX for comp and it all works well enough except for the camera. It doesn't import correctly. I have the camera option checked when I am importing into AFX and it does create the camera start and stop locations but it seems to ignore any information from the t...

Batch Rendering
Hi all, Wondering if any of you are aware of a way to batch render scenes? I am creating a short film and have to render hundreds of scenes as .json files to import into after effects. It would be super handy to just setup all the scenes and let them render overnight. Hoping someone might have a scr...

Re: Cleaning up clutter in the FX Bin
+1 for George commands I will often export my FXBin settings to a scene specific folder so that my list doesn't become cluttered. But when you select export and save the .bin file to a folder on your hard drive for use later, TVPaint will still save those settings within the preset list too. So you ...
