Re: TVP not recognizing HEVC with alpha?
HEVC is equivalent to H.265. You may try H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC) or H.263, though I cannot guarantee that you'll have more success. The best solution would rather be to export your scene as a sequence of PNG images. Indeed, PNG seems to be the way to go for the time being. Once again, thank you for your...

Re: TVP not recognizing HEVC with alpha?
Thanks for the samples :) So, first thing I noticed : even in VLC, your sample with alpha appears as black. I couldn't find any setting to make the alpha transparent. Both VLC and TVPaint rely on FFMpeg, so I'm not that surprised ... Have you tried with another older codec ? I haven't tried any old...

Re: TVP not recognizing HEVC with alpha?
I just tried, without success, to import an HEVC file with alpha in TVP 11.5 Pro. The alpha channel is read as an opaque black background. Does TVP not recognize HEVC plus alpha? Did you try adjusting the alpha settings ? https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index.php?id=lesson-import-export-handling-...

Re: TVP not recognizing HEVC with alpha?
Although it isn't mentioned in the manual, the updating of the manual occasionally lags behind regarding recent developments, so I asked in case there was more recent info. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Re: Multiplane camera wizard
I know it's a feature in two different AfterEffects scripts Ive found, but its nice if I can just stay in TVPaint. I can send links to those scripts if it's helpful.

Re: SLOCUM at sea with himself LAUNCHED
Furushil, just as Chagall or Picasso did not draw realistically, so are there many experiences of animation which do not conform to mere realism. Unfortunately, the popularity of the Disney approach to animation has stifled many imaginations (and stimulated others, it must be said) and made the anim...

Re: Resolution scaling Runtime Error in Win 10
Hi Leo, I restarted TVP with CTL as you said, made a copy of the default config, then loaded it, changed the scaling and rebooted...and the problem had vanished. Very strange. So...scratch that bug - I guess. Seems that a lot of things get fixed if you just start with a new configuration. I'll check...

Re: Resolution scaling Runtime Error in Win 10
Hi, thanks Leo. After changing the setting to "2", I get a window saying "You must restart the software to see this change". When I try to restart the program, TVPaint starts to load but then the message I mentioned in my first post pops up and the software crashes. To give you a...

Sorry, Elodie, I meant the "Stroke Animator". It's listed in the manual under the "General" tab.

[Solved]Resolution scaling Runtime Error in Win 10
I tried changing the resolution scaling to "2" on my Cintiq Companion 2 running windows 10 and TVP v11.0.2 and got a "Runtime Error - This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information"....

Stroke recorder flip speed
Using the stroke recorder, it seems like sometimes I’m able to draw more on one instance than another, which I guess depends on how quickly I’m moving the stylus before flipping to the next instance. This seems to not occur when I choose the Free Hand Dot mode, which I guess makes a brush draw only ...
