Re: Can you do scrolling backgrounds with symbol animation ?
Think of your BG project as one made of long cels which you move frame by frame under the camera and made of layers just like any old project. You can have leaves dropping from any tree and people moving all about in both directions and flying saucers and anything you want. This is what I was tryin...

Re: Can you do scrolling backgrounds with symbol animation ?
Debut or Pro? In any case, use the keyframer. See http://www.tvpaint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6163 its Pro, and I dont think that answers my question about having an animated background, I dont want to have just a flat picture from left to right. Imagine a forest with lots of leaves and br...

Re: What are the best ways to do animated pixel art?
Oh and another question about erasing the pixel blocks. Is there a way to grab the blocks and erase them individually? Like a color sensitive eraser or soemthing

Can you do scrolling backgrounds with symbol animation ?
Hi again, I know how to do moving backgrounds with the size 4times bigger than the project and stuff, but I would like to know how to have small animation on it, like leaves moving and fountains in the background. So that the camera pans from left to right and you can see small details on it. Can yo...

What are the best ways to do animated pixel art?
Hi, I want to do a little aniamated trailer with pixel animation, 16 bit preferably. I know you can zoom in and out and the image becomes pixelated, but is there a better way in doing it? I mean maybe a brush which has a preset pixel function or some kind of layers which transform everything into la...

Re: No matter what settings I try, my exported vid runs too
That's because the export panel automatically compensates by adding frames to play 10, 12, or whatever frame rate per second. This is what the conversion is for. But I tried to convert the project into 12FPS and even then the export files remained at the same high speed, maybe Im doing something wr...

Re: No matter what settings I try, my exported vid runs too
Oh, and you asked about the difference between 25 and 24 fps. For all practical purposes, none worth bothering with unless you are doing a job for TV in which case you have to follow their specs or if you are working with a very exacting sound track to which you have to synchronize your animation. ...

Re: No matter what settings I try, my exported vid runs too
Best way to check runtime of video is to count frames. How many frames is your project long? If it's 100 frames, it will play back exactly 4 seconds at 25 fps. You do the math. Number of frames divided through 25 gives you the seconds. Check the video file if it's the expected length. If the video'...

Re: No matter what settings I try, my exported vid runs too
Fielding is an issue of a video camera. If you are drawing your frames in TVP you should keep the fielding to None, Even, or Progressive (all three labels mean the same thing). Using the camera tool doesn't change anything to the playback speed; it works the other way around -- your camera will ada...

Re: No matter what settings I try, my exported vid runs too
BTW, why are you using the lower field setting? This would have nothing to do with the playback speed but I'm just curious. Also your project is indeed huge and if you don't have a particularly hefty computer it might well be the case that its playback can't run any faster. Honestly, I have no idea...

Re: No matter what settings I try, my exported vid runs too
Is it possible that you are playing the project back at a different rate than your original TVP configuration? When you steady your cursor (use a mouse for this) over the top heading of the project window, a popup will give you your configuration's frame rate. Is it the same as in the little window...

Re: No matter what settings I try, my exported vid runs too
Is it possible that your project is so large that TVP is running it only half speed? Have you tried measuring the speed with a stopwatch, in an editing software, or other similar test? Well, the project is quite big, its about 2.3 GB. The width: 720. height: 576, framerate 25, aspect ratio: 0.937, ...
