Ok wait, I just read a tip about plugging the wacoms pen USB cable into a main usb port rather than a usb hub....and thought i solved it for about 10 minutes..but then it returned, and after clicking a few more times and it works fine again. My cintiq is the sort that doesn't exist as it's own computer, it has to be connected to laptop.

Yeah I can scrawl with my trackpad in Tvpaint fine...so maybe it's the pen that deciding to stop working?
