Re: Loading Project, Saving interface
No I'm using windows... and TVPaint 10 Pro. Oh and I tried to use the last configuration setting from Preferences but it didn't work.. Here I have an image that might clear up things in terms of the whole configuration problem:

Loading Project, Saving interface
Ok so I have two problems with TVPaint. For some reason, when I try to save my project on the desktop or wherever, and then I try to open it, it says that some files were not found(something about a local file). However, when I save it into the installation directory of TVPaint, it works. However, w...

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
But specifically WHAT in raster graphics makes the drawing part superior to vector graphics? In other words, whats the specific reason that you can't do all of those things in vector graphics? What kind of limitations do vector graphics have? Thanks for your reply!

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
Sorry for all the trouble guys but can someone please explain what that whole "set as source" option does? Even though I can now follow your instructions and do my fills, I like to actually understand what something does rather than blindly doing it, even if it works. And another question,...

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
Wow thanks for your comprehensive reply. I guess it's my fault that I didn't know about how raster programs work.. So exactly how do I get rid of a stroke again and just leave the fill? In vector based programs I'm used to just selecting the edge(stroke) of whatever I have drawn and deleting it. I d...

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
If you want your stroked outline and filled color to be separate, you would put them on separate layers (you can set a layer to use the layer above for the fill outline). TVPaint emulates traditional cel animation very closely, so you have to think it terms of brushes and paints and textures instea...

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
I used Flash and ToonBoom Animate.. Hmm well my apologies I thought all drawing software would have atleast the same capabilities in terms of what I've asked. But I think you guys misunderstood a little bit maybe.. If you really want to know what I want, then do this: Go on your desktop, Click and d...

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
All those selections are just variations of the same type of thing. I tried using them and i couldn't do anything.. just could crop and make a brush. I couldn't even delete anything INSIDE the selection. But my point is i want to be able to select particular drawings that i make. So lets say i draw ...

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
It doesn't matter whether its a pixel based or vector based.. Why can't i select my drawings? The selection tools you guys mentioned have not been clearly described in the manual. And btw i tried searching this forum already, and I already tried to learn the software. I'm here BECUASE I couldn't ifn...

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
As I mentioned already, I'm not talking about those.. Those don't work at all. I'm talking about actually SELECTING something, not making a selection box around an object. As I've already mentioned, it's signified as a cursor. Please take the time to read my full response rather than just reading th...

Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?
Okay I'm really frustrated as to how such an advanced program does not contain the most simplest tool in any drawing, animation, painting program; THE SELECTION TOOL. Now I'm well aware of the rectangle selection but that is not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about actually being able to select ...
