Constant "Not Responding" CONTINUES... Video Link
With both versions of 11.5 that I've been running, I encounter the relentless "Not Responding" freezes of the software I reported earlier. I did a screen grab recording of this performance problem while exporting a series of PNG files (750 4000 x 3000) showing the problem. Also I see huge ...

"Speed Profile" Timing Problems Ease In - Ease Out
Hello all, So I run into this problem routinely it seems. I often work like this, mimicking the traditional analogue animation stand approach (from which I came years ago). I have final art of a high resolution, multiple layers or not. I have it in one project we'll call "MASTER". It conta...

Re: Constant "Not Responding" message
It does occur on smaller projects, simply not as apparent, nor troublesome.

Re: Constant "Not Responding" message
Doing the simplest of processes, it is running slowly, and constantly presents the "Not Responding" message in the Window's top bar. See attached image. Hi, I updated your posts to attach the pictures, because I wasn't able to see them. Indeed, this is weird. Not only the "not respon...

Constant "Not Responding" message
Hi there, I've just moved to a new machine with these specs: 2 x XEON E5 processors 256GB RAM (that's correct) Windows 10 Pro Cache set to a separate SSD from the drive the app is running from. Cache size set to 2GB manually. Doing the simplest of processes, it is running slowly, and constantly pres...

Re: Creating Varied Transparency Mask
Yes, my goal is different. I am interested in maintaining the full 256 steps of potential variation in transparency of a mask, (or alpha whichever you prefer) driven by the grey scale of the source image(s). So were it a full color image, first step is a black and white conversion. No problem. Then...

Creating Varied Transparency Mask
Hello all. I am interested in figuring out how to take a grey scale image, and make it a mask maintaining the various levels of grey as various levels of transparency. So black would be o% transparent and white would be 100% transparent. I can't figure out a good approach to this. The various key to...

Re: Anyone using Solid State Drive for Cache?
I just happen to be having them installed on both our TVP computers as I type. They are highly recommended and I know of at least two users who have them and rave about them. Thanks Paul, Will you be using them as system discs, or are you going to use them as cache only discs? TV Paint's temp cache...

Anyone using Solid State Drive for Cache?
I have too many "TV Paint is not responding" timeouts in my current setup. Am wondering if a solid state drive would work to mitigate this. Anyone tried this use of a SSD as a cache only disc for TV Paint, or have any recommendations? I'm running windows 7 w/8GB.

Re: How to Shift-Stroke?
You can connect opacity, size, etc ... to "Fade", then tweak the profile curve. Hi Fabrice, I like to think that I have a good working knowledge of TV Paint, but I do not understand this "connection" of a fade to the drawing of a static curve or line. I use fades often as a FX o...
