Re: macOS Monterey / Ventura / Sonoma and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 17/06/2022]
Regarding Sonoma, we ran some tests with the betas all year long and we have been testing TVPaint with the release for the past few days. So far, it seems that nothing was broken by this update. However, as always, we do not recommand updating macOS right away. If you are able to, it is a good idea...

Re: TVPaint crashing a lot
Yeah, I have deleted the config file before and it did not help, but I am going to try again and make sure there is nothing else which needs to be deleted and then try running TVPaint without installing any of my saved palettes. Waiting to hear back from support as TVPaint will not even load now. I ...

Re: TVPaint crashing a lot
Thanks. As I say, this issue predates Ventura and predates my current M1 Max Mac Studio, so it can't be hardware or OS related. I just wanted to put it out there to see if anyone else had the same kind of problem or not.

TVPaint crashing a lot
I have been finding that TVPaint crashes pretty much every single day. Sometimes multiple times. I might be using it all day and then it crashes. It happens only when I go to use a menu or hit the keyboard keys to save. As in Command+S. That is, it doesn't crash when I'm drawing or playing an animat...

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 17/06/2022]
Still no word on MacOS Ventura? Would really appreciate knowing if TVPaint is running okay on it or not. Please and thank you!!

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 17/06/2022]
Thanks for the info about that. Are you testing the final Ventura release now to see if it works as beta versions did? Will you report here? I'd like to suggest that sending an email blast to all registered users would be really helpful. Like when there is a TVPaint version update or info about comp...

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 17/06/2022]
So Mac OS 13, or Ventura, is out. Any advice on using it with TVPaint? I know the usual call is to wait, but wondering if TVPaint has been testing the software at all and if it seems to be okay, or not. If not, any plan on when it will be approved for Ventura?

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 07/12/2021]
Without a specific ARM update, will TVPaint still work on the new M1 Macs anyway?

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 07/12/2021]
A crashing mac is something I get about 4 times a year, at most, and never with TVP. My Mac rarely crashes. I have to remember to restart it every so often because it does freshen things up, but this is TVP crashing on almost any key combo hit. Like CMD+S to save, and it crashes. Restarting TVP doe...

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 07/12/2021]
Aha! Change size is the thing. I have been using Brush:Resize. That's obviously not the one, despite the fact that it seems like it should be. Thanks for the tip. Otherwise, I am finding that the program works just great on Monterey right now, but then it suddenly crashes repeatedly. The fix is to r...

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 07/12/2021]
Tried using the Tools Option Change Size. It appears to work, but actually does not. When I hit the assigned key (in my case, V) it shows the brush size by dragging option, but after doing it, it has not actually changed the brush size at all. I use this option all the time as typing or dragging the...

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 07/12/2021]
I've actually restarted the Mac as well and now it is not crashing. It seems to do this sometimes and the fix requires a restart. A separate question: I have assigned V to Brush Free Resize, but it only works on custom brushes and not the normal pen tools. Why would that be? It always used to work o...

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 15/11/2021]
Hi David, Can you try to reset your configuration? Go to the Library (in the Finder, click on "Go", then hold the alt/option button and click on "Library"), delete the "tvp animation 11 pro" folder (make a copy of it beforehand, just in case). Then start the software a...

Re: macOS Monterey and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 15/11/2021]
Hi Thierry, Just before I do that, will I lose anything by deleting the config file? Just so I know. Also, I restarted my Mac and it seems to be not crashing anymore, so maybe it just resolved itself, but I do recall this happening once before and being advised the same thing about the config file. ...
