Re: Preserving white line

What I am trying to do is animate with white lines. Because the effect is different, and I am playing with the transparency of the line. Black lines are not a problem. I might just do it in black and change to white later.

Re: Preserving white line

I tried that, but it makes the black background white as well, which means I can't see anything. I can't see the sketch pens either. I can reduce the opacity of the black, but the sketch pen lines still aren't visible. I can animate the whole thing in black and then change the colour, but that is wh...

Re: Preserving white line

That's a good solution, Slowtiger, but I want to do the animation seeing the final effect as white on black, and also to correct on the same level, that is, use the full advantages of the sketch panel. But yes, a workaround is probably necessary.

Re: Preserving white line

/Users/janetperlman/Desktop/Image 1.jpg /Users/janetperlman/Desktop/Image 2.jpg The first image uses black from the sketch panel. The second is where I erased the black, which leaves a black edge to my white line. If I use other colors, the while line also disappears completely. I see that if I use ...

Re: Preserving white line

Actually I think my question is answered, as I read more closely the thread about creating a custom eraser. It seems like it is not possible, but if you have ideas, let me know. Thanks.

Preserving white line

I would like to animate using a white line. Does anyone know of a way to make a colour eraser that does not erase the white line? Even when I use black from the sketch panel it erases the edges of the white line. If I can't find one then I will have to animate with a black line in order to use the s...

Re: Bezier custom brush line

Very useful, Svengali. I will play with this and see what I can get. Thank you.

Re: Bezier custom brush line

When I set jitter to zero it helps, but the line is much much thicker, but if I make it smaller, then it does look the same. I will have to make a special brush for bezier and straightens to use only for that. I will have to think about how much I want these extra parameters in adopting my final bru...

Re: Bezier custom brush line

That explains it, Svengali. If I remove all my parameters, then the bezier and straight lines match the line quality. Unfortunately that is not the line quality that I want in this case. I guess this means that the bezier brush and straight line and circles etc., will only work with certain types of...

Re: Bezier custom brush line

Thank you. I don't have a problem with all the brushes, only the ones labelled crayon 1 and crayon 2.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/115 ... fance.tvpx

Re: Bezier custom brush line

Thanks, but that makes no difference. If I export an image, it looks like that. When I choose any another brush, like just a pen brush, or any other of my custom brushes, it works fine.

Bezier custom brush line

When I use the bezier tool, or straight line tool, it has no resemblance to the line that I am using. I thought I was supposed to get the same line quality of the tool currently in use. Here is a screen grab of my custom brush line, and the bezier line result, with settings, which are the same for b...

Re: One scene will not display on Cintiq

I just changed the Mac display preference and tested dragging the screen over. I can drag it halfway over to the Cintiq, but as soon as I drag it anymore, the problem occurs. But I can easily rescue the screen by dragging the window back to the Mac screen, and the Cintiq recovers. Usually I am in fu...

Re: One scene will not display on Cintiq

So I checked a few things out. I was not able to stretch the window to display on both screens. It seems that TVPaint will only display on one screen at a time. I deleted the top layer of animation and the scene runs fine. This layer had two frame animation through the whole scene. That layer was ma...

Re: One scene will not display on Cintiq

Thanks everybody. In the meantime, the scene runs fine at work. I will try Animark's suggestion, and also, I will try rebuilding the scene level by level and see if one animation change causes the problem. Normally I don't drag a scene from one screen to another. I did that to demonstrate the proble...
