Re: iPad Pro version of TVPaint
Re: using TVPaint with an iPad Pro, I used the Astropad app. It was my first experience working with TVPaint and I needed a portable system, so I linked via Astropad with iPad Pro and Apple pencil and it worked very well. I had to use a USB connection rather than wireless, but that was probably rela...

Best file format to export from TV Paint Standard
Hi All I have a basic question, I'm a newbie, about to export my first TV paint job onto a drive to courier for editing in Europe (so very scary, as I can't be there for the edit/grading)! I'm using the Standard edition and a Mac Book 10.11.05, and I want to know what file type to export as? I have ...

Re: Importing increasing length video file
Success! Whole file plays after I shut down then restart TVPaint. I am importing dailies as mp4 files, but the mark out frame always reverts to the previous amount of frames imported, and the file stops playing at that frame, then after restarting TVPaint, the whole file plays. It would be good to k...

Importing increasing length video file
Hi all Nightmare...(Standard 32, MacBookPro) Arrgh! Simple question, how can I import increasing length of video footage daily? I worked it out a few days ago but the solution is so confusing that I've forgotten it! If TV Paint imports the exact length of the previous footage, how do I tell it that ...

Re: animating on 2's basic set up question
Thanks guys. Last time , I animated on 24 fps as the animation had to register with live action, but this project is pixilated live action and the animation does not have to register accurately, it's very abstract, and some of the pixilation is at 12 fps, but it varies. However, if you all think the...

Re: animating on 2's basic set up question
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
Because I'm working closely with live action, maybe it is easier to work in layers, so ,I can set up the layers at the start?

animating on 2's basic set up question
Hi I am new to TV paint so apologies for not knowing this basic question! I am animating straight ahead on 2's, and thought setting this up was as easy as clicking 'none', drawing a frame, advancing using the right arrow and that gives me animation at 12fps. That works fine, but when I go back to ad...

Re: soundtrack drawer does not have control or functionality
Just realised, I have TV Paint Standard edition, so assume there is no Master sound button! I think it would help in the tutorials to mention whether a function exists in Standard or Professional edition, as that is a bit confusing.

soundtrack drawer does not have control or functionality
Hi all I'm just starting out with TV paint (vers 11.0.3, Mac OSX 10.11.4), and am struggling to navigate around the interface. I can't find the buttons for the Master soundtrack or the music notes, and when I right clicked on the track I loaded to split the sound that didn't work either. Is there so...

Re: Pixellation, have I installed the wrong version of TV Pa
yes, just tested without Astropad and got the same pixilation, so I must not have set it up right. I'll work through the tutorials and see what I've done wrong, and if I can't fix it I'll post again. Thanks!

Re: Pixellation, have I installed the wrong version of TV Pa
Hi Elodie Nice to be here! I've never used animation software, so might be making obvious mistakes. Zoom ratio is 100%, project is 1280 x 720, I've not altered the original settings. I was worried that the pixillation was caused by either using an iPad pro and Astropad as my tablet, or that I should...

Pixellation, have I installed the wrong version of TV Paint?
Hi Elodie and everyone This is my first post, so sorry if I don't know the technical lingo! I have just installed TV paint vers 11 Standard edition onto my MacBook Pro 10.11.4 El Capitan (which is 64 bit), and the lines I'm drawing are very pixellated, I've attached a screen shot. I'm using an iPad ...
