Issues with Website, Updates, and Contacting TvPaint

Hi, my names Forrest Crocker. This isn't an animation problem but I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the websites links and pages that seem to just lead to dead-end/error pages with 'odoo' in them? Specifically, the 'Update' page and 'Contact Us' page. I'm trying to contact the co...

Re: Recommended Video Editing Software

I've been developing multiple animation projects but in all of them I've ran into the same problem of lag or long periods of loading because I was doing lengthy projects of 2 minutes or more. This was causing significant frustration and stress as my work flow was slowing down. I was trying to figur...

Re: Recommended Video Editing Software

It all depends on what you need. If you animate just for fun, iMovie is good enough. If you animate for money, you'll need something more professional with more options (different formats, codes, etc). The high end would be Final Cut, which is about 600.- € here. In between there are several soluti...

Thank you and you're right. I was thinking of using IMovie but only as my last resort if there wasn't a better option to consider.

Re: Recommended Video Editing Software

I think you'll get some good suggestions here from forum members, but you might try googling "free NLE software" which, among other sites, turned up the following link... "VideoHelp.com" sven Thank you for showing me that link! I've been looking online through google but sometim...

Re: Continuously having to reinstall

Hi Thierry! Thank you for the answer, I thought that's what the problem was but I had difficulty getting to my account. I was able to download the latest after making another account for some reason.

I'll let you know if everything works.

Continuously having to reinstall

Hi, Folks. My name is Forrest Crocker. I was wondering if anyone could please help me or tell me if they have had this issue before. My TvPaint has to be reinstalled before every use, even though my dongle is never removed from the USB. After each install it works great but after I shutdown my compu...

Re: What is the best size for projects?

Thank you Animark and D.T.Nethery! This actually explains a lot more than I expected. Thank you for the tips, links, and examples here. Need to do some practice work with all this but I think I have my questions answered.

Thanks for replying and good luck with your projects.

Re: What is the best size for projects?

-Thank you, I'll check out the links immediately. -And yes, you're correct. The AAliasing was unchecked. -Do you mean the templates under new project? I think what I was looking for was an average dimension so as to not cause dimension issues for when I upload projects to youtube or for view in a di...

Re: Importing movie files into TvPaint

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply and yes your correct. I think it happens somewhere in the import process, course I've noticed this back when I was using 3D. Anyway everything was fixed to a 30 frame rate and all issues were cleared. Happy New Year!

Re: Importing movie files into TvPaint

Truth is it was automatically set to 32 fps on the AE and Quicktime player, I just worked with it. I've worked on 24 and 32 on many projects, I was told that anything in between the two was irregular though everyone has their opinions of what's best.
