Re: Keeping file size down

Cool, sounds like a good idea.

I was considering using Premiere or After Effects to do some transitions from scene to scene later but hadn't thought of using Premiere to assemble the clips.

Many thanks!

Re: Keeping file size down

Hi Paul,

I haven't heard of NLE before. Are you referring to using something like Premiere to assemble clips? I'm using Audition for the sound.

Re: Keeping file size down

Thanks slowtiger

My larger file and smaller files are backed up on an external drive. Hopefully nothing will die before hand in!

My system does need an upgrade though. Getting some lag on playback and taking time to save.

Re: Keeping file size down

Hi, My original question is referring to the size of the project file (15gig). It's about 4 minutes, has quite a few layers and FX. It's divided into clips and I've started to work in separate projects to keep the size down. Sorry, I shouldn't have confused the question by adding in the export sizes...

Re: H.264 export

What I mean is, I'd rather use Premiere to do the export to H.264 than have a second version of TVPaint installed. Unless it will affect the quality.

Re: H.264 export

Hi,
I'm on Mac 64bit version.
Thanks for the screenshot. I don't get that on my version. Just a small drop down.
I'm wondering if it's worth exporting out of Premiere rather than install another version of TVPaint.

Cheers
Ryan

Re: Keeping file size down

Hi Thierry and thank you,

Project dimensions are 1920 x 1080.

At the moment my AVI file is about 1gig and the MOV is about 6gig.

Keeping file size down

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any tips on keeping file size down. My file has shot up to nearly 15gig recently.

I'm assuming keeping clips in separate projects helps.

Many thanks

Minimise TVPaint window

Hi, I'm not sure what I've done but I'm not longer able to minimise TVPaint to see the desktop. The bar with the icon is missing. I've tried looking through the Window and View options with no luck. Are you able to help? Many thanks Ryan Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 64 bit 3.2 GHz TVP Animation 11 Pro(64 b...

Re: Trouble with brush pen

It's similar, drawing circles and getting a jagged edge in places, not necessarily at the start. It's a lot smoother on Photoshop. And the other problem is the line jolting back at the end of a stroke. I've tried turning off the tip double click distance and full screen mode which hasn't made a diff...

Re: Trouble with brush pen

Hi Melanie,
Any more thoughts on this? I've uploaded a video of the line when it jolts at the tip.
Thanks

Hi Melanie,

Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6
I don't think I would have removed any previous tablet driver versions.
No guidelines activated.

Thanks

Re: Sound file crashes TVPaint

Hi Melanie,
Is seems to be the sound files in the project view, the ones in the clip views seem to be ok. I'm using .wav files.
