Hi everyone ^^,
I'm having some trouble exporting and running the script that tvpaint creates for after effects. I see that in the video tutorial when tvpaint exports it creates a .jsx file for when you import the project into after effects (File>Scripts>Run Script File). When I export however it creates a .json file that after effects doesn't recognise when I try to run it (it's greyed out and I can't click it). I seem to be following the same settings as in the video but I am a bit new to tvpaint and using scripts so I might be doing something wrong. Also, if I try changing the file from .json to .jsx it displays the error "Unable to execute script at line 2. Expected:".
thanks.

Re: Trouble exporting from TVpaint to AfterEffects
Hi JollyMark,
There's a misconception on your part I think: TVPaint creates a JSON file (an universal data storing format), not a JSX file (which is a script file, used in After Effects).
The AfterEffects Import script (the JSX file) can be found on the archive you get when you download the software from your User Account: That's the file that you should run in After Effects, not the JSON file
Best,

Thank you!
The tutorials didn't really mention where to get that file so that caused the confusion, it makes much more sense now
