How to do a simple camera zoom-in?
Hello all,
I am struggling (and failing) in trying to do a simple camera zoom in. I have animated a scene in which two characters are sitting and talking to each other. All I want to do is to have the camera zoom in on them, slowly, as they are talking. It seems like a simple enough effect but I can't find a way to do it.
I apologize if this question has been asked and answered. I searched the forums but couldn't find any such post (I can't seem to go to page 2 of any search). I even searched the web and youtube but even there couldn't find any suitable tutorial to show this. I just find many tutorials about multiplane cameras and keyframers, which is not what I am trying to do. If anyone could please tell me how to achieve this step-by-step I will be very grateful. Or if this has been asked and answered, then could someone please point me to the specific thread?
Thank you so much.

Debut or Pro? The camera tool is Pro only.

Look up "Camera" in the manual then. It's under 8. storyboard > animatic.

Re: How to do a simple camera zoom-in?
I did that already but it shows how to move the camera in a storyboard to turn it into an animatic. So just moving the camera over one static image. I want to move the camera in my animation. Like I want it at 100% zoom on frame/instance 1 and 200% on frame/instance 30.
Re: How to do a simple camera zoom-in?
You have to open a new project as "Project with camera".

Re: How to do a simple camera zoom-in?
Thank you. I did that but still can't get it to work. After openingk a new project as "Project with camera", I put my animation on the timeline (say 20 frames). Then when I click the camera tool, I see a red box on the screen (like we get when you transform a shape). So I place it on the first frame where I want it. Then I go to the last frame and when I click, the box turns to blue. So I place it at the second position where I want the camera's move to end. But when I play, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Enable the camera in the playback bar. (see screen shot from the User Manual)emmaringo wrote: ↑03 Oct 2018, 06:55Thank you. I did that but still can't get it to work.
