TVP12 Default starting layer always has lock position enabled [TVPA-3645]

Post by TVPUSER »

1. When booting up TVPaint, the layer we are first given will have lock position enabled.
If it is a feature I really recommend removing it otherwise I'm treating it as an issue
because the past versions never had this in place.

2. Suffix of new layers do not seem to follow the same format as the initial starting layer
-It is a small nitpick but I wanted to squeeze it in this post.

1) It can be disabled.

Not sure when exactly it was added in previous versions but it's been in TVP11 for a bit. From the online manual:

Interesting, I totally missed that section in preferences...
In my opinion it should be off by default of a fresh install simply because people expect to be able to copy and paste frames freely

Related:
I think the 'lock layer position' should only lock layer position.
and NOT prevent the copy/pasting of its frames, that makes no sense and for that we already have the lock layer.

Hello, we have noticed the default layer having "lock position" enabled. This is unintended and will be removed for the next update :)

could you also change it so that lock position does no longer stop copy/pasting?
lock position should only keep the layer in position, not stop you from copy pasting. for that we have 'lock layer"

Thank you for your feedback.
The issue of the lock position enabled by default has been resolved. The fix will be available for the next update.

We have created a ticket for this as well.
