Tvpaint 12 Pro Deactivated?

Post by Nagarjuna Gupta »

Hello,

I was setting up OBS today for my recording and suddenly TvPaint 12 Pro started to quit with the message that it has been remotely deactivated. Now when I start it, the following image comes up.

I am running this on a 2018 Intel MacBook Pro, it has been running fine until today.

Hello, this is apparently due to a payment issue. We will contact you soon.

This has happened to me several times recently.
when it does, the box advises me to save the work before closing.

Duly saved and quit. When reopened moments later, no further box messages and it goes back to running as before.
Bit of a puzzle as it was paid for some months back.
There was a phase when it would not run on the current machine, but Matthieu kindly sorted out that problem.

This happened again this afternoon while roughing out some poses and timings.
I saved and reopened immediately, and it worked.
A short while later, the tools disappeared, possibly due to an error on my part and lack of knowledge, but could not be refound.
Had to open a different project alongside, and that seemed to restore the tools for the rough poses.

Hello Simon, since you are on a rather recent MacOS version, maybe uninstalling Codemeter and updating it to this more recent version could help:

Dean
Thank you for your reply.
I am slightly reluctant to go that route for the moment as, its a relatively minor inconvenience, but mainly because there was a lot of bother getting TVP to run on the new system initially, which was solved by a lot of hard work by Matthieu. The prospect of that happening again could induce insomnia.
