Hi there,
I've exported a scene from TVPaint using the Mads exporter, and then imported into After Effects to be put on top of a background, but some of the layers aren't being affected by the multiply blending mode in After Effects, which is working perfectly fine on TVPaint. The layers that aren't working are from scanned images (i.e. not created in TVPaint), and when I import the original scans into After Effects and put them on multiply they work fine. Are there certain settings that need to be switched off/on (i.e. background) before exporting from TVPaint? Hoping to find a way to fix it without exporting from TVPaint again, as it took several hours!
Thanks!

Set the BG to white and export with background, then test in AFX?

Re: Multiply not working in After Effects
TVP's transfer modes work differently than other software. Top layers with multiply will only be exported in parts where there are pixels in underlying layers as well, if you export with alpha.
In which way do they not work in AFX? Are parts of those layers missing?

Re: Multiply not working in After Effects
Thanks for your replies, but turns out it was an After Effects issue easily fixed by turning the 'collapse transformations' setting on for the composition which made it transparent

Well, but this is good information to know . I'm making a note of it now . I'm sure this is a common issue . I'm glad it ended up being a
simple fix.
