Light Table window stuck

Post by Aya.S »

My TV paint light table window will not open fully.
It only opens to the point as shown in the image.

Screen Shot 2017-10-18 at 10.41.28.png (11.13 KiB) Viewed 30022 times
I have tried closing the window and reopening, minimising then maximising, double clicking the top bar, etc.
When I place the cursor to the edges of the window, it doesn't give me the arrows to extend the window.
I also tried reinstalling TV paint and I still have the problem.
Has this happened to anybody?
Can somebody suggest a solution?

Mac OS X El Capitan ver.10.11.6
TVPaint 10.5.7 32bits

Thanks

This is on TVP10.

Thanks
Which version of TVPaint 10 ? (under the Help menu > About TVPaint Animation ... it shows you the precise version number ... if yours is lower than version 10.5.7 you should update it.)

Also, what computer OS are you running on : Windows ? (7, 8, 10 ?) or Mac ? (10.9, 10.10, 10.11, 10.12 , 10.13 ?) EDIT: Oh, wait, from the screen shot you posted it must be Mac. But which version of Mac OS ?

OS X Snow Leopard up to 10.6.8?

(Compliments to those responsible for designing the onion skin control window in TVPaint.........everything I could think of needing is there cleverly adjusted in a small window).

Hi Aya !

This is an old bug fixed since in version 11. Unfortunately, the only solution left is reseting your whole interface :s
It means you'll lose shortcuts and custom panels (you can export those, but well... it's going to be quite tedious).

Sorry for that !

Curious, OS X has not used the bubbled 3D theme for some time. The icons have been distinctly flat.

If you are running OS X 10.11.6 did you install some sort of theme pack?

It has nothing to do with MacOS, it was TVPaint 10 interface

What is the explanation for the eye rolling? Seems like a rude accentuation to a legitimate question. I have never seen a software interface that copied an operating system theme like that. Given the question of which OS version, a spotlight was placed on identifiers of the OS version.

There is a new version of MacOS every year with various changes in the global look, while there is a new version of TVPaint every 3~4 years.
So Elodie was rude against a mistake we made ourselves : reproducing a specific OS interface on a specific time. It just means being outdated quickly.
TVPaint Animation 11 has the same interface on all OS (Windows, Mac, Android, Linux). Much better.

I must acknowledge that this is probably more a matter of translation between languages and cultures than anything TVPaint Developpement intended to communicate. I apologize for not recognizing it immediately. I love you all for everything obviously designed to meet user preferences. You are ahead of everyone regarding responsiveness to user input. I suspect the only reason you are not the most widely used animation software is because you have to be able to draw frame by frame to utilize TVPaint. Budget and skill override many things.

No offense taken.
After 9 years and 13k posts, I'm used to be "misunderstood", mostly because I answer too fast and I don't always check twice what I wrote.
