"Two Popes"

Post by slowtiger »

4 min music video I did for a minimal budget in just 2 weeks time. All assets created in TVP, animation done in Moho. Made good use of all my new texture brushes to give it a picture book look. The whole thing was mostly improvised, with no storyboard and only minimum planning.

Well, it's only possible to work that fast if you don't allow for revisions or changes. You'll easily see which parts I've re-used over and over. The characters are only rigged as far as needed, sometimes with only 2 bitmaps like in their first appearance. If a part didn't fit a movement, I just painted a new one in TVP. The animation isn't refined in any way, from here it would need additional 2 - 4 weeks to really get good - but there was no budget for that.

Hello @ slowtiger, thanks for sharing the short. It is amazing that you put the short together in just two weeks. It has great beats and rhythms with the music. I also like the texture you used in this short.
