The Particles Generator is a great tool isn't it? I didn't realize how flexible it was till I started going through the tutorials on this site. Lots of great information there.
Another outstanding resource is Terrence Walker's ( Artfx on this forum) video course, TVPaint Particle Magic, where he demonstrates how to really leverage all of its capabilities. I'm pretty sure I paid $40 for it but its available for only $15 now. Still worth the money:)
