running Mirage plugins in TVPaint ?

Post by D.T. Nethery »

Maybe this has been asked before , but I was wondering about opening up certain files from Mirage 1.5 in TVPaint , particularly a little plugin called "Board-O-Matic" which has some handy tools for creating storyboards.

In the documentation that came with Board-O-Matic it says "runs in Mirage 1.5 and higher " . I can open Board-O-Matic as a custom tool panel in TVPaint , but it is not functional. I see the icons , but nothing happens when I click on them .

I was wondering if there is any way to get Board-O-Matic to run in TVPaint ?

I would also be very interested in getting Storyboard or BOM and other Mirage plugs to work in TVP. I spoke with Nicolas a while back regarding this and he was very helpful, but unfortunately his instructions were for pc and I'm on a Mac and they didn't work for me. Any further help for Mac users would be greatly appreciated.

Any more info on getting Board O Matic to work in TV Paint? I'm on a PC and love TV Paint, but use Board O Matic and would like to integrate it into TV Paint.

D.T.Nethery,

Judging from your screenshot you are on a Mac. Have you managed to get BOM working somehow? The instructions I've shared are for pc only and I have not been able to get Mirage plugs working on my Mac. I can create custom panels but the buttons do not function.

I haven't been able to get it to be fully functional on the Mac yet , but I haven't tried very hard either. (Very busy at work right now and I only have minimal spare time for other things). When I received your instructions I did notice they were only for PC , but I thought that the instructions had some clues about how I might get it to work on the Mac.

I'm sure there's a way to modify it , but so far I haven't figured out the right way to do it .

Hi,
I think the simpliest way to know how to make it work with TVP Animation is to ask the authors of the BOM. You should ask them on the Bauhaus Software forum.
Since the litigation is solved, they should answer you. They always supports this product.

Patrice,

I just posted on the BH forum as you suggested. You know if a post includes "TVPaint" it becomes "*******" so I had to spell it 'T V Pain t" (pay attention to the spaces) so it would appear in my post, otherwise my post just didn't make sense.

I was polite and am curious about how long the post will last (or if I'll be banned...)
I don't want it all --
Where would I put it?
