Hi,
I am having 2 issues.
1) When I adjust and save my keyboard short cuts, they revert back to the defaults when I restart TVPaint.
2) I want the Xsheet tab always visible. However, when I go into preferences and click display Xsheet tab, the Xsheet appears, then when I restart TvPaint it is gone again.
Are these issues relate? Is there a fix?
I have tried it on 2 different computers and have the same issue on both. Windows 10 and Windows 7.
Thanks.
Preferences NOT saved after restart
Re: Preferences NOT saved after restart
Please check your preferences in TVPaint : Edit > Preferences > Start up > "Remember last used preference".
Re: Preferences NOT saved after restart
I had "Remember last used preference" checked and I'm still having the same issue.
Re: Preferences NOT saved after restart
You may have saved the room configuration before your desired preferences were set. Each time you start up the program, the saved room configuration will override certain general changes you made, one of which is display of the xsheet tab.
I tested this myself and experienced the same behavior. This is actually a good thing because each room can have different shortcuts and configurations; one for storyboarding, cleanups, illustration, etc. Are you switching back and forth between rooms with saved settings? This may explain the keymap issue.
If you save your room configuration (this is a separate action than "Remember last used preferences) while you have the preferences you want, the changes should persist. Or you could just delete the ini file that is overriding your changes.

Re: Preferences NOT saved after restart
this remains an issue.
i start up tvpaint and some of my last settings were not remembered...
its not back to default.
its frustrating you cannot actively save your preferences... and it remains unclear how and when settings are kept.

Hi Peter,
Which settings ?i start up tvpaint and some of my last settings were not remembered...
I've checked in the config file, and the New Layer Presets are stored in it:for instance:
the 'new layer presets' are not stored in the config.
