I usually prefer to work with a light color scheme. Unfortunately the new TVP design doesn't allow it, or at least I cannot find a simple way...
In the screenshots you can see how light all the TVP default icons look like on bright background - barely visible, especially on a Cintiq... Same goes for active options signs on the Timeline (see screenshot).
The color scheme Options are so unclear, that it takes lots of trial and error to understand which color is what (all those gadgets, requesters and text items are martian language to me :/).
I realize that Tool Icons are basically little bitmap drawings, that cannot be altered otherwise, than than redraw each one by hand, but at least I could change a tool icon background color. I couldn't find that so far either...
One more thing - in the color scheme options, it would be really nice to have a color wheel, that we can choose colors from - otherwise it's so difficult - you need to open some colors you want to use before going into options, to be able to choose them. and if you didn't like them , have to close the whole thing again, and do it all over again.
Solutions?
thanks

Some time ago Peter Wassink had uploaded a couple of dip files that could be dropped into the icons library of TVPaint to replace the default icons for Activate/Inactivate Layer and Activate/Inactivate Light Table . I'll try to find the link for you. Here's what mine looks like with Peter's icons -
But I agree , more options (or maybe "easier to use" options) for customizing the color scheme of the interface would be nice.

Here they are . You'll have to copy and paste them into your Light Icons and Dark Icons folder (TVPaint.app > Show Package Contents > Contents >Resources > Icons ) to replace the current ones. Save the original folder because you'll have to do this again next time you update the software (because it will revert back to the standard TVPaint icons) .Soom wrote: ↑13 Sep 2018, 10:15oh, wow, this would be really helpful! thanksD.T. These are actually a combination of Peter Wassink's and Marc Rühl's (schwarzgrau) .
