Problem with dongle key or licence

Post by oyonawa »

I am having a problem re-installing TVpaint 11.
Yesterday I had to reinstall my mac OSX system since the last Mojave update screwed everything and I had to clean my computer and go back to High Sierra.

Anyway...today trying to install TVPaint 11 it gives me this error (attached). I have my dongle key attached as usual but this time it doesn't work. I am attaching a photo of my dongle key to which is pretty old but it doesn't seem to be the problem I think.
I think the problem is that the system still recognizes my old configuration and it thinks I am exceeding the number of licenses.
How I can fix this issue?
I will really appreciate your help.

Thanks a lot in advance.
David

Thanks Jeremy but still not working.
It worked perfectly fine yesterday before I install osX and downgrade back to High Hierra.
It is something else I can do?
Do you work for TVPAint? If not, should I contact them?
Thanks so much,
David

Yes, I work for TVPaint

Do you remove all TVPaint stuff before installing Sentinel drivers ?
I mean, you must delete the application and your config files (which should be at /Users/YOURNAME/Library) or (re-)installing drivers won't work.
Only after this, you can install and launch TVPaint.
Acting like this works for all people having problem with dongle on High Sierra.

Can you try once more by deleting the TVPaint config as I say please (if you don't did it already) ? If you do, be sure Sentinel drivers are version 7.4.2 and not another one.

If it doesn't work... well, one new issue with Sentinel drivers on MacOS. We will try to investigate.
