Having trouble with the Interface.
First problem occured with the Timeline. I Hit a key accidentally and the timeline disappeared. Pressed 0 to get it back but, it would not stay in place and was only visible while the cursor was over it.
then, while trying to find an answer to that, managed to lose the panel that allows you to select the methods for working with, colour and sizes. If I click on the colour wheel icon at the top of the screen it comes back but only very briefly.
Is there a way to reset the Interface to standard, so I can work back to what is required.

I think you are looking for this button, which is present on the timeline (top right) and side panels (top right or top left, according to their placement on the screen):



It locks the panel in place
