Json + repeat images
Json + repeat images
I recently discovered exporting my animation using Json so I can easily load it into after effects. I noticed however that when I do it, all the frames which I had set to loop in my animation using repeat images have become holds. Do I have something wrong in my export settings or is that a feature that isn't compatible as of yet?

There is already a scripted solution for export to AfterFX, have a look.

Look here in the user manual:
https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index ... xport-json

In your TVPaint folder there should be a script called AfterEffects Import TVPaint JSON.jsx which you will use to bring the exported layers from TVPaint into After Effects.
The most confusing part to me was learning to set the File Name and Folder Name. These settings work well for me:
Folder: %ln (this sets each image folder to the layer name)
File: %ln%04in ( this sets each image file name to the layer name + instance name with 4 digit numbers)

Re: Json + repeat images
As I am involved in the function request of JSON + image export, I will answer.
In order to use the image repeatedly, it is necessary to set the instance number, and the repeat setting of the exposure can not be used.
This is because the way of making in Japan is often more complicated than simple repetition.
As we summarized in image about method and contents to be reflected, please confirm.

ありがとう!それを探してました。
Thank you for your replies. That is indeed what I was struggling with. I guess I should look for a fast way to convert my repeated images to instances.
