login problem

Post by Henk Beumers »

Hi all.
I normaly work on a home based computer.
In order to use tvpaint on location, if needed, I also installed TVP on my laptop. For the past few years it worked fine. You should not forget your dongle off course.
Now all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore. If I try to startup TVP a requestor asks for my dongle even when it is allready present in one of the USB ports. Whatever procedure I try, TVP shuts down after I press oké in the requester. I tried to find a solution here in the FAQ but no match.

Somebody else having the same issue? Please let me know what causing this problem.

First try to exclude physical reasons: have you tried different USB ports? Is the green light on?

Second: maybe a re-install of the sentinel driver helps. Unplug the dongle before you start this!

To add on what slowtiger said, is your laptop a Mac or a Windows ?

The laptop is on Windows 10. Upgrade from W 8.1
Did everything Slowtiger mentioned. Also reinstalled the sentinel driver. Don't know what I can do different.
The only thing I can think of is, I'm somehow using the wrong driver version. But than again I'm quite sure I downloaded the right one.
Thanks for your reply.

Hello Mr Beumers,
Could you try using this version of Sentinel instead and see if this changes anything? https://sentineltechsupport.gemalto.com ... -released/

Please keep us informed :)
