I'm having huge lag when drawing if I turn on image guide.
I have a MacBook pro 2,4 Ghz i9 - 32 GB RAM and AMD Radeon Pro 8GB running Catalina 10.15.1, working on secondary monitor.
I already tried to run TVP in low res mode but there's no significant improvement.
When I turn off image guide everything is smooth. I tried differnt image format sch as JPG, BMP, PNG - also in very small size but I still have lag problems.
Any suggestion?

Re: IMAGE GUIDE LAG
Is this with version 11.0.9 on Mac OS (same as here: https://www.tvpaint.com/forum/viewtopic ... 10&t=13017 ) .
Because guidelines seem to be working ok for me with version 11.0.8 on Mac OS Sierra.

Re: IMAGE GUIDE LAG
I have that same issue and I found a thread on thes forums somewhere that said to go tvpaint app | get info | check 'open in low resolution'. This is supposed to disable retina - which for me at least made it more or less workable for now
