Wacom tablets: new drivers spy on you

Recent wacom drivers want you to consent to a "privacy" setting which allows them to monitor your computer usage down to which program you use and send this info to Google analytics.

Is anybody installing a Wacom driver right now? Please be careful, have a look, and try to install without consenting to this, then report back here!

Saw that yesterday evening on Twitter (probably shared by you I think :p), that's concerning indeed, I didn't think Wacom would step so low :(
I don't think you can install without consenting to this sadly.

Wacom seems to have reacted. This article on boingboing https://boingboing.net/2020/02/07/wacom ... k-app.html ends with:
"Users can opt out of the data collection by going to their settings in the Wacom Desktop Center —> clicking “More” on the top right corner —> Privacy Settings —> and selecting “off” in the “Participate Wacom Experience Program” box."

I highly recommend this to everyone.
