Freelancing Question

Post by Gochris1 »

Hello:

When possible clients give you specifications for a job quote, do they dictate which animation software you use?

If so, which character animation software do they prefer?

Do you have to deliver both a final movie file, like MP4, or AVI... and also the software file?

Thanks

Depends on the job. Quite often the work they outsource is part of a bigger production, you get prepared files, and/or you have to deliver files in a specific format so that others can work with it. In this case they dictate the software. But if your contract states that you deliver video files only, nobody can force you to use a certain software.

Always look for file specifications for delivery in your contract.
