but...cut selection is usable to image and clip both.
and it was useful edit timeline and clips.
when I want to delete without copy,
or just copy & paste.
The action i made is only for the images, not for the clips
Cut selection is will not be back as privious?
Sorry, I'm not sure to understand what you explained. Are you unable to cut & paste a clip ?
I'm currently at work to bring you back the same default behaviour as previously.
Thank you sooooo much...! Xavier
I think that will solve all.
yes, when you double-click image-showing parts of clips (with term, about more than 1-2 second), this double-click action selects the clip.
or with shift+click, you can select multiple clip.
when we selected clip, we can use this fuction-"TVPaint animation : cut" even to the clip.
so cut is usable to images and clips both,
but action I made temporally is just combine of "copy and delete 'image' with fill gap from right"
so It's only usable to images, not to clip

how this idea could work in the other cases
deleting the tail

deleting from middle

Nice idea Peter. I'd need a bit of time to refine the implementation, but somehow I started to implement your idea with a fourth deletion mode named "Stay put".
Due to the number of urgent fixes to do, tomorrow morning I'll update the release at first. Then in a second time I'll manage the layer locking.
