Import image(s) to specific point in timeline
This may seem so trivial but it's a problem when you have a big scene and importing a sequence of images at a specific point in the timeline is crucial.
As the images hopefully show, I want to important a sequence of images at the highlighted mark.
When I import the images it'll always place the sequence or image at the start and I have to drag it to the time that I want. This isn't a problem when your timeline is short but when you have over 900 frames, it becomes a hassle. I'm placing this here as a feature request because I cannot fine and option to make this happen anywhere.
Please consider, if possible, to add this capability.
A good example of what I'm asking for is when you create a new animation layer, it places it wherever you're at in the timeline.
This is where I want the sequence to import in the timeline
This is where it imports
Then I have to drag it to where I want it.

Re: Import image(s) to specific point in timeline
If I understood correctly :
1) you use the layer import dialog
2) you'd like to choose the start position of the imported layer in the project
Is it correct ?

That would be even better.
Re: Import image(s) to specific point in timeline
This shouldn't be too complicated to do
Re: Import image(s) to specific point in timeline
To be expected in the next release

This is great! I like that it uses the current cursor position as a start frame preset!

One of the things I love about TVPaint as a company is the willingness to listen to ideas, critiques and explore ways to meet our needs. Or just say, "Yeah, that's not happening"
While TVPaint is a big company, it still has the feeling that it's not. And that's a good thing!
