Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
Hi. I'm wondering why this window appears. You can explain to me under what specific conditions I will see this window. And how can I do the correct saving of panels. To avoid the appearance of this window.
The question is asked because, even when this window appears, the export still proceeds positively. But I get a dose of negative emotions and frustration.
My assumptions:
1. The panel is overloaded. What is the maximum number of icons I can make? Are there any restrictions on the weight of the panel?
2. Just a mistake, it appears from time to time. The company cannot take control of this issue.
3 ...?
I hope for a correct answer. Thanks.

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
i don't know if there is a max but i know you can add quite a few...
this one is 135 Mb and is just a colorpalette (so no heavy brushes etc...)
i copy pasted a number of times just to test if there was a limit...
but it loads ands saves without issue

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
One limit of the custompanel is when it becomes so long
that you cannot acces the buttons outside of the screen, because there is no slider!
so it has a UI limitation.
this example is off course a bit silly: but in a more realistic scenario...
when you create a vertical panel that is longer then the screen is high, you cannot acces them if the panel is outside of the screen.
narrowed down, you need to dock to be able to unlock the lower action buttons:

Hi. This problem is not my invention. And the context is the most common. SOMETIMES THIS HAPPENS. I just suggested that you pay attention to this. Here's a video.

We're not making fun of you, we ask questions to understand and reproduce your issue. It's not that straightforward ! It depends on your os, system configuration, Tvpaint configuration, cache, project data, kind of export.Animationriver wrote: ↑23 Jul 2021, 13:09

Anyway this popup appears when the export process could not finish properly. So yes, you may have a file, but it's surely incomplete.
The popup may appear essentially because of file system permissions, or you ran out of disk space, or because something went wrong in TVPaint.

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
Can you try to update to TVPaint 11.5.2 to see if the issue is still there?

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
Hello!
Yes. 11.5.2. When saving, writes EXPORT FAILED. The panel file is saved to the specified location.
There is an additional nuisance.
When I save panels, I write their name in the menu. When I make a new button on the panel ... I open the save menu and there I have to type the name of the panel again. Because the fields are empty. And they require filling. Some panels retain their path and name. And every time they do not need to be prescribed. If my description needs video from the screen, I'm ready to do it. Hope I described the situation well.

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
Ok, you have the error message but some part of your project is exported. How's your exported video ? can you read it from the beginning to the end ? does it have the same length as your tvpp project ?
There must be something preventing the export to complete. But it's possible that it is outside TVPaint : antivirus, network drive and so on.

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
Hello. I have no problem exporting videos. Only with a panel that may have some kind of button that prevents the export from completing. Since I created a new panel and copied all the buttons there. And the new panel also showed a panel export bug. But the export result is positive. I just want to get confidence.Xavier wrote: ↑16 Aug 2021, 17:54 Ok, you have the error message but some part of your project is exported. I found one button. Because of which all the problems with saving the panel. I suggest that she take a look at her code and understand what is the reason. So that such buttons do not spoil the work. Thanks.

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
Hi, the video finally helped me to understand. The bug is confirmed.
Next time please start by explaining how to reproduce your issue, it will be helpful.

Re: Export FAILED (Custom Panels)
In the end, it turns out that TVPaint was complaining for the missing icon file_2fc02a7f-6603-487a-b00a-a5792af08b81.dip.
I just added a random icon into your tvpx file (using a basic file archiver), and no more error.
It's not very user friendly, I admit.
