Hi, I recently got this issue where TV Paint completely fails to respond for a while every time I switch focus to other apps. Like skipping a song on iTunes, checking an email etc.
When I go back to TV Paint on my Cintiq it doesn't respond for 10seconds or so.
It seems minor but it's getting super annoying. And it never did this before. Suddenly started doing it last week.
I'm on TV Paint Animation 11 STD 11.5.2-64 bits
MacOS Catalina 10.15.7
iMac late 2013
3.2 GHz Quad Core Intel Core i5
24GB 1600 MHz DDR3
SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1GB
Cintiq Pro 24

This sounds like there's too many programs open, but with 24 GB Ram that's unlikely. Could you start activity monitor and have a look which programs run and hog the memory?

Re: TV Paint doesn't respond when switching to other apps
Hey I think you might be right. I did a restart and only running TV Paint, iTunes and browser and it's not doing it anymore...
But it's weird that it suddenly started doing it last week. I usually have the same apps running all the time; After FX, WhatsApp and maybe Slack added to the list. Never used to do it...
BUT I wouldn't be surprised if Adobe added something in one of their updates that's causing it. I really hate Adobe updates
Thanks so much for looking into it

Have a special look to any browser program, since they tend to bloat to several GB even if doing nothing.

Re: TV Paint doesn't respond when switching to other apps
Did you try to use the mouse instead of the pen? Cause I (and some others here) experienced a bug, which only happens in MacOS where you switch to an other app, back to TVPaint and the tip of your pen doesn't do anything. An annoying workaround is to use the back of your pen and tip on the Cintiq with it.
