High Sierra Dongle not found Issue

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to install the TVPaint 64 bitStandard Edition and I keep getting the error message that TVPaint can't see the dongle.
I have Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6, 16 GB of Ram and a 3.2 quad core Intel Xeon cpu.
This seems to be a common problem with lot's of different posts and solutions can you point me to a correct step by step guide to a solution?
