Pen pressure glitch with some brushes

Post by Ross »

Can anyone explain to me why this is happening with my brush pressure?

I notice brushes with a wide range of sensitivity from low to high sometime place a spot before the stroke when I press soft and gradually press harder.

Hello Ross, are those custom made brushes?
If that's the case, could you post them or send them to me, please?

Hello, no issue on my part, great brushes by the way. In the TVPaint preferences, I have the drawing mode set to Wintab with Subpixel disabled, what about you?

Same here.
What I have also noticed is that the issue only comes when the Power(brush settings) is set to constant.

Hello again, no issue for me when setting the Power variable to "constant". Does this happen only with one brush in particular of all the one you uploaded?

Also, which tablet model are you currently using?

We have seen that with old versions of the tablet driver. Which drawing device do you use ?

I am using an Ugee 2150.
I will acknowledge that Ugee seems to have stopped updating the drivers for this device.

Sadly, to this day I have never managed to reach Ugee's customer support. Another user had a similar issue with one of their models and couldn't get a response on his part either.

I have these brushes, too. I can't reproduce the odd behavior you're experiencing on my end.

Yeah, might be their drivers but my xppen is on its way so no worries!

I get this issue as well when my eraser brush power on constant. You were the first person to replicate my issue, but I get this on a Intuos Pro with updated drivers

Does this happen after switching to the TVPaint window from another application or does this happen randomly?

It happens randomly when I erase with my brush. As far as I know it only happens when power is at constant
