OK, I'm late to the party, but today I wanted to try and create a George script. See Manual, it tells me where to look for the George script. I go there but ... there is nothing!
Opening the TVP app/contents/ressources, I see papers and all the stuff, but no folder called "George". Not in my 10, not in my 11 installation. A search on the whole Mac yields nothing.
So, where is it? I feel like I was driving a car for years and now find it has no motor ...
So where is George?

You have to look at the george documentation on the website, or the old tvpaint george wiki but it's not up to date

Hi ST, regarding the TVPaint 11.5.3 release you can refer to https://tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/files/les ... mmands.txtslowtiger wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 19:13 OK, I'm late to the party, but today I wanted to try and create a George script. Re: So where is George?
Thank you - but this still doesn't give me the location of example files on my machine, which should have been there from installation on.

Re: So where is George?
Ah, indeed I can't disagree. This part of the doc probably used to be true with TVPaint 10 but not TVPaint 11.
Anyway you can find a few examples in TVP app/contents/ressources/plugins/Timesheet.grg
Re: So where is George?
I'm going to be honest, I have never seen those either.
On Windows, there is a folder named "George" in the TVPaint 8, 9, 10, and even 11 installation directories, but I have never seen any file in those folders.
I even reinstalled a TVPaint 8 just to be sure a few mintues ago, but the folder still stays empty.
But, when reading the documentation, it says that files will appear in the folder when you export a custom panel.
However, I just tried that, and no file appears.
So, something broke, and it broke a looooooong time ago, because it doesn't work in TVPaint 9, and on TVPaint 8 as well.
We will update the documentation for the next release to remove this wrong information (and possibliy remove other wrong or outdated info regarding George).
But will we update the software ?
I don't know. This is not a priority, and I don't think it will become one.

Re: So where is George?
Hello, I have been going back through the forum over the last little while, trying to find information about George(among other things) over the many years of posts, and I've come across this question a couple times regarding the supposed "example" scripts that the manual refers to, still as of the current v12 manual
It is said in the thread

I don't know how to link to a specific portion of a thread, but the thread is here, and the post is by Fabrice near the bottom
https://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php ... ipts+panel
It is sometimes hard to find out if topics have been answered later on in other posts/reposts of similar questions on the forum, but as mentioned above by Thierry, as late as 2022 it seems to still be a question people were asking, and I had it more recently when I started trying to follow the GEORGE documentation in the manual. So, if this has been answered somewhere else since and I missed it, I apologize, but otherwise for posterity sake this is what I've found.
Well! I found a very old thread with this link below in it that has a bunch of example George scripts. I don't know if this is exactly what was originally referred to in the manual, but as it has the Clock.grg Fractal.grg etc. from the documentation, I think it must be.Some George Scripts are available as example with the software, but you can also create your own scripts and/or exchange them with members of the TVPaint Community (you can access the TVPaint forum here).

So fair warning.
