11.7 settings question

Hi!

I'm really looking forward to top 11.7
Now a question. I think I have mentioned it before some time ago:
I remember every time I upgraded TVP before that I had to export all my settings and panels, keyboard shortcuts, layers settings and more stuf separately. And then import it all individually... It took a lot of time and caused a lot of errors...
Will it be possible for TVPaint 11.7 to make a copy for all manually changed settings at once and import it automatically to top 11.7?
That would be really awesome!

Hi Joost!

There seems to be a bit of a misconception here.
When you upgraded from v10 to v11, yes, the configuration files changed, and they were not stored in the same folder, so you had to redo parts of your interface and settings.
However, when you update from, let's say 11.5.2 to 11.5.3 or from 11.5.3 to 11.7.0, this is still TVPaint 11. The config folders and files are the same. So you won't lose your settings.

Will the 64 bit version of TVP 11.7 be able to access Twain scanners in Windows 10/11?

Hello, sadly the TWAIN protocol was last updated in 2013, which makes its ability to work in TVPaint on recent systems quite random.
This is something we have very few control over, depending on demand we might look for a workaround in the future.
