Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
Yes, I wrote to tech support. But I want to try out what you posted earlier.
Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
My TV Paint is version 11.5.2 from July 7,2021
Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
The one you used also was 11.5.3. Could it be that I just missed out on that option? Sounds odd. But Tech should let me know.
Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
Once a clip is isolated, is it okay to delete unused layers?

Hello, I confirm that your request to tech support was received, a response will be sent soon.
Probably a vampire

Okay, so a nice person Karin from tech got back to me and told me this: Hello Joe, Thank you for contacting TVPaint Développement. My name is Karin and I will be your contact. If have several clips in your project, and want to transform them into separate projects, you can do the following
Go to the project in the timeline <image002.png> then open the Handy Custom Panel at the left from your canvas,
under “Miscellaneous click on <image003.png> clips to project.
I have also attached two screenshots.I hope this is useful.Best Regards

I did what you said, and it did a lengthy copying and hourglass thing, ( I tried to only do one clip but it wanted to do all of them.) I left it to do it's thing, and came back. It was finished, but I could not find any results of what it did. They went into the cyber bermuda triangle. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, that button in the Handy Panel should do what you want to make each clip in your master project file into separate TVPaint project files. (I usually do it from the right-click pop up menu in the Project tab, but because you are having trouble accessing hat menu , the Handy Panel shortcut button will do the same thing.)JoeMurray wrote: ↑12 Jan 2023, 16:01 Okay, so a nice person Karin from tech got back to me and told me this: Hello Joe, Thank you for contacting TVPaint Développement. I made you a screencapture video showing the procedure. See attached video file. (I was talking on the video , but for some reason the sound did not record properly.JoeMurray wrote: ↑12 Jan 2023, 16:02 I did what you said, and it did a lengthy copying and hourglass thing, ( I tried to only do one clip but it wanted to do all of them.) Just follow along with the video.)
1.) I have a single project with 7 clips open.
2.) I show how I would usually split the clips into separate projects by right clicking and selecting Create New Project from Selected Clip, but because you
are having trouble accessing that menu I show how to do it using the Handy Panel shortcut button Clips To Projects.
3.) All clips selected, click on the Clips to Projects shortcut button.
4.) Now there are 7 separate projects created , with each of the 7 clips being it's own project (once you have done the splitting , Save As ... for each project to save it to a designated folder on your computer or external hard drive.
If it doesn't do that for you when you try it I'm out of ideas. If it's still not working it's possible your configuration is corrupted (?) , so you should probably update to the newest version of TVPaint.

Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
I see new windows of the clip opening behind the front. But when its done, they disappear. I have 120 clips (yikes)
Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
If you hold down on that clips to projects button, a menu pops up, but nothing on the menu says "convert clips to projects)

Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
The project tabs should be displayed along the top of the TVPaint interface.
Please post a screen shot of your TVPaint interface after you have done the split clips procedure (using the Handy Panel shortcut button Clips to Projects).
