Reset All Positions option in Transform tool

Post by Soom »

Perspective tool has "reset positions" option in the right click menu.
for some reason such an option doesn't exist in Transform tool.
I would like it to be added, otherwise we need to click 3 times to reset Scale, Position and Angle.

Hello Soom,
indeed you are right, you have to click 3 times to reset Scale, Position and Angle. I will talk about it with TVPaint Team.
In case, you just have to press ESC on your keyboard to "reset positions".

I think it would definitely be useful to have the Reset All option listed in the right-click menu for Transform Tool (as in Perspective Tool), but there is a Reset button in the tool panel that doesn't require 3 clicks to reset Scale, Position, Angle. Leo, I'm glad you mentioned the shortcut of ESC to reset positions of Scale, Position, and Angle. I did not know about using ESC for that purpose , but it makes sense now that you mention it

thanks! the Escape works. I forgot to try it. But when I work on my Cintiq, I usually don't use the keyboard at all and I tend to shove it somewhere further behind the tablet. I am used to do everything with both hands on the tablet - by using a lot of right click without moving around too much (I know it sounds lazy, but it's actually faster for me)

I know, but this panel sometimes gets scrolled up or down and it takes another click to scroll it to be visible, and then find the button I need. It takes more time than ESC or just right click wherever my hand with pen is...

Yes, for sure ! It should definitely be added to the right-click pop up menu for Transform Tool options.
