TVPaint cannot import any file other than .tvpp Topic is solved

I'm using Windows 11 and TVP 11.7.2-64 bits.

Whenever I try to import a file, either by drag and drop or by going to file-import, one of these pop-ups shows. I've tried this with .png, .mov, .mp4, .jpg files. I've never had this problem before (I'm using slightly older TVPaint on my other PC, never had any troubles).
I have Quicktime installed. TVPaint has no problem opening .tvpp files. Anything else it doesn't open.
I've reinstalled everything and the problem doesn't go away. Please help!

Could you move the files to a place where there are no special characters in the path? Then try again.

oh my god. YES. Thank you!! I am literally so stupid - can you believe I spent the whole day trying to solve this issue? The older version of TVP never had a problem with special characters, so it didn't even cross my mind.

Since I work in a mixed environment and get files from any origin I made it a habit long ago to sanitze file names as well as path names down to 7bit ASCII, even name layers that way. It pays in the long run.
