just stumbled over a freeware pencil app that can draw and animate with pixel and or vectors...it's not in the same league as tv paint for features but if your on the move with a laptop and don't want to take your tvpaint usb key out with you, you can still do some rough animation in this app then import the png's into tv paint when you get home!

it's on windows and osx so everyone gets a chance to play..
also it's available for linux so those who have a asus eeepc can use it too!

though it's defiantly a 'basic' 2d toon app it does mix pixels and vector images with pixel layered and vector layer types...maybe something that tv paint may add to in a future version.
