Tool buttons don't work properly

Hello,
I have a problem with my Tvpaint 12 pro version. It occurs since the release of version 12, but I wanted to wait for some more updates in hope that it will be solved. But now that I never read about others having the same issue, I will ask here for help.
So when I use my tablet and select a certain tool, the button either doesn't work right away, or changes back to another tool when I hit the canvas, or it resets all the tool properties.

In the example you can see, at first I try to change the source of the paint bucket tool from from layer to above, but the layer setup remains. Then I try to select the stroke tool and need several clicks to do so. When I open a project most of the time it's working fine, but after a while this is starting to happen. It makes the software almost impossible to work with. So currently I'm using my old Tvpaint 11 standard version way more. In Tvpaint 11 pro I never had that problem. It also seems to happen only when I'm using the pen of my tablet but not when I'm using the mouse. But I have the same problem on a Huion Kamvas and on a Wacom cintiq pro. And on different computers with windows 11.

Does anyone have an idea?

I use about the same setup. I haven´t made bigger project on TVpaint since I upgraded but haven´t run into this.
I hope a sollution is find.

Hello Clair, I see that you GIF was recorded on v12.0.3, does the issue also occur on 12.0.4?
Is your tablet's driver up to date and, if possible, is a dedicated TVPaint 12 profile created in it?
I guees the issue doesn't happen with the mouse?
Are you using any settings which were imported from your v11, like keyboard shortcuts for example?

Does using a fresh configuration (this can be done from the Startup panel if you want to keep your current one) lead to the same behavior?

I worked a bit around in v12.0.4 and had no problems at first. But today I got the same behavior.
My Huion tablet driver is updated, but I have no Tvpaint profile. I never had that for older Versions, also not for my Wacom tablet.
I don't use any imported settings from Tvpaint11. And I had the same issue with all configurations, either new projects or older ones.
It also seems that restarting the program can solve it for a while, but it returns quickly again.

Out of curiosity, would it still be possible to upgrate a Tvpaint 11 standard to an 11 Pro version?

I think I found the problem. As it seems it was the multiscreen panel option that my tablet couldn't handle. I guess some fixes in the last update made it a little better, so that I had fewer problems. But now I turned it off and boom, it behaves exactly how I know it from older versions.
So if anyone else has a problem like that, maybe try this. I'm at least so relieved now.
