I just tried again and I end up with this long form that doesn't even have the same price we've been talking about for the upgrade. Does someone know how to get the order for TVPaint Pro 9 in?

I just went to the online store, went to 'international orders' and selected the TVP Pro 8 -> TVP Pro 9 upgrade (should be 260 euro). I accidentally clicked on the wrong one the first time, so be careful!

- then your entering the usual PayPal - zone

- if you have already an account, then you can take this otherwise you can create one or go through their steps

How do you get there? I've tried 2 different routes and one gives me 8.6 download again with all my codes put in and the other gets me the demo. How do I do a preorder...where do I click?

Thanks so much Klaus, I finally found that little international link. But the invoice says 540 E for the upgrade, I thought it would be 325, reduced to 260????

I'm straightened out now....I had entered the non Pro version in the cart. Thanks, Klaus, for some reason I easily get lost on this site when ordering.

260 € are unfortunately not 260 USD.

Ooch dafür nich (don't mention it)
... it's all a little bit complicated with those different online stores since there is no one behind the counter to talk to.

a little page of history (I'm talking of the main core developpement here, not the plugins item) :

[EDIT by TVP Team] first Mirage release : 2003
- Mirage last release ... may 2005
- TVPA : 1rst Public Release ... may 2006
TVPA Pro : developpement started in August 2006
- TVPA Pro* (v8.0) 1rst public release ... Dec. 2006 (*Mirage successor)
400th real users enregistred : jan. 2007 (spams not taken in account here ...)
after minor free updates, (v8.1, v8.2, v8.3), ...
- TVPA Pro v.8.5, introducing the new Instance Engine in the timeline ... free update as well,
800th real users enregistred : june 2008
- TVPA v.9.0 (Layers Blending modes, multiple soundtracks, Rooms, Timeline notes, ...and much more):
1rst Public Release june 2008 ,

so, 18 months have passed between the coming out of v8.x and v9.x,
I think it's quite a reasonnable delay for "commercial" releases schedule.

here, in Paris, when I buy a subway ticket, it costs me €1,50,
when I use it to cross all the city (about 15 stations), I don't find it so expensive,
but when I use it just for one station travelling, I feel like been done ...
Obviously, you have taken the v8.x train belatedly,
(Bauhaus cencorship politcy is certaintly to be blamed, but it wasn't so dificult
to be aware of tvpaint developpement stuff for anyone who wanted to be ...),
some others ex-mirage users, having switched from Mirage to tvpaint long ago,
would protest if they had to pay more than the fresh new-comings (legitimately, I think).

Yes it's obvious to this Mirage user, all the work that has gone on with TVPaint over time. Wonderful.

Mhm. In Hamburg about 6-8 stations are 2.60€ (so topping Paris). Diesel is 1.56 € at the moment (US, that will come to you soon!). Maybe this is the reason why some of my animator-friends hesitate. But all in all we're talking about the pro-version with many impressing enhancements and so pricing is o.k. for us, but what about the wavers ?

True, the late-jumping-Bauhaus-users need to be hit, they all deserve it (most of all the moderators, the beta-testers...).
But as a punishment I suggest to have a beer in Paris together next time.
