you just have to upload your pictures (.jpg or .png files) somewhere on the net,
(on your own ftp room, or on any one of the many free existing hoster sites),
then enter the link in your post by using the "Insert Image" button.

blogger.com - you can create a blog of your own, and each image you upload can be linked.hisko wrote:What's a good somewhere on the net? What can you recommend, sir?ZigOtto wrote:you just have to upload your pictures (.jpg or .png files) somewhere on the net,

picasaweb.com - if you have a Gmail account, you get big webspace to upload pictures, and you can use Picasa (software for organizing albums and uploading them)
Flickr.com - one of the most popular image hosting websites

some links to help you to choose in this jungle :hisko wrote: What's a good somewhere on the net? What can you recommend, sir?

personally, I use FileDen for 2 or 3 years now, I suppose it's far to be the best,
(sometimes, you have to skip Advs, Free having somehow a cost),
but it does the job, and I'm to lazy to change and try others,
(they are tooooooo many, and new ones are poping up every day ...)

Re: Malcoonimages
But hisko, you have your own website.
Don't you have some spare webspace on the server you're hosting it on?
even if you have only 50mb, it's enough to upload quite a few jpgs to keep you going for a while.
you can easily do it via ftp.

Re: Malcoonimages
my provider offers me 1Go of files storage space,
and I use it via the freeware FileZilla to transfert files and manage them.
but I reserve this space for my professional exchange only,
and I use my FileDen hosting count for any other "secondary" purposes.

Re: Malcoonimages
Funny, I've been thinking about this ever since I posted that. By using DOPUS for years now, I've been probably having free service without even realizing it and all this time paying contributions to SmartFTP. Actually, just recently I had my entire C drive rebuilt and never even reinstalled SmartFTP -- live and learn.

Re: Malcoonimages
a couple of (not finished) images from a children book I'm illustrating.
These are large format double-page drawings.
there are 25 spreads like these in the book.
