Layer ReTimer Tool
Layer ReTimer Tool
3 preset-buttons to shrink the layer's length to t/2, t/5 and t/10,
+ 1 button to retime the layer to N frames (N = nb of frames for the new layer's length).
NB: it works without interpolation .

Re: Layer ReTimer Tool
Do you think you could make this tool work on a selection, rather than a whole layer?
I love this tool by the way!

Re: Layer ReTimer Tool
donno,
possibly if these commands are existing (?) by using tv_LayerSplit (?) + tv_LayerStretch on the good part,
then tv_LayerJoin (?) to get the 2 (or 3) layers in a single one back ...? really donno ...

Re: Layer ReTimer Tool
This looks like a terrific tool, and I am looking forward to using it.
How do you plug it into TV Paint? I have downloaded other plugs ins from this forum but haven't been able to figure out how to use them. Is there a page in the instruction book covering this?
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Layer ReTimer Tool
what tvpa version do you have ?
what I use to do with .tvpx file (I run a V9.0), is firstly to drag&drop the file into the tvpa window,
then, ... after clicking "ok", right-click the custom-panel button from the main bar,
the name of the new loaded panel should appear in the list of the menu, select it.
it should be stored now in the right-side panel bin, upper position.

see the picture of the panel in the first post.
to explain what ? ... it's self-explained (re-timer),
how to use it ?
select your animlayer, click on one button, and see what happen.
... an exemple ?
suppose you have to rotoscope a piece of video (25fr/s),
- load the part of your video file you have selected for rotoscoping,
- click on [T/2] button, (it will delete one frame on two),
- now you can begin to draw over, on a new animlayer,
- when your drawings sequence is finished, "select all" and click [+1] exposure (Instance Panel),
so the initial timing is restituted, you can export now at 25 fr/s
and post the video art on dailymotion.
Re: Layer ReTimer Tool
Thank you for this panel! Just what I needed right now. It works with TVP 10.5.5
Is it possible that the frames remain on 2s when I hit the t/2 button?
Right now when I have something on 1s, I hit the t/2 button to delete every other frame and the layer "shrinks".
Then I select all frames an click on the +1 Exposure button. Is is possible to skip the last step?
Edit: Oh, yes, you described it the same way in your last post. Anyways, thank you for the panel.

you can add the commands you want to the [t/2] button by editing it.furushil wrote:...
